Turning a modest bungalow into a showpiece for entertaining was the name of the game for this remodel. We installed a glulam throughout the length of the house to create a great room on the main floor, transforming the area into open, gathering-friendly space and creating a more European look and feel. We also moved the master suite to the opposite side of the house, removed a basement partition to form a larger family room, refreshed the basement bathroom, and rebuilt the deck while creating additional storage.
Along with the new layout and cosmetic upgrades, we made significant structural and utility infrastructure changes, improving the home’s plumbing, electrical system, and furnace, and reframing the exterior to straighten the roof system. Highlights include new windows and doors, interior cedar Fineline Paneling, new wood floors, and new roof.
